The first thing you need to do is set up an account on the OTC+Flex Member Portal located at MyBenefitsCenter.com Through this portal, you can easily track your benefits and see how much you have used.
Whether you have Traditional or Expanded OTC benefits, you’ll receive a Visa-issued card that’s easy to use and comes pre-loaded with your OTC allowance. This card will be ready to use as soon as it arrives, allowing you to make eligible purchases with ease. Here are some ways you can use your OTC benefit allowance:
Health-Related Purchases
Using your OTC card for health-related purchases, such as non-prescription medications, wellness, and first aid items, is part of Traditional OTC benefit. You can make these purchases in person, online, or by phone. First, check for eligible items and confirm your retailer’s participation by logging into your OTC +Flex Member Portal.
- For in-person shopping, select eligible items and pick the OTC card option at checkout. The purchase amount will be deducted automatically from your balance. Any remaining balance requires an alternative form of payment.
- For online shopping, visit a participating retailer’s website. Choose eligible items at checkout, and your OTC Card will cover purchases up to your approved balance. Any remaining balance needs an additional form of payment.
NEW! Community Ride Shares1
Use your OTC allowance to arrange transportation not related to your medical care including: visits to friends and family, pharmacies, grocery stores, house of worship, fitness centers, and even to your favorite senior center. You can use it for ride-share apps like Uber or Lyft, public transportation such as buses or trains, and other modes of transportation that support your daily activities. It can also be applied to tolls, parking and fuel purchases at the gas pump.
Rent/Mortgage Assistance1
Some plans allow members who are eligible for Expanded OTC to use their OTC allowance toward rent, mortgage, and Homeowner Association (HOA) fees at their residence, but not for someone else. To make a payment, check with your landlord or mortgage company first to make sure they accept Visa and provide them with your OTC card information. Funds will be deducted from your OTC account.
Wireless, Internet, and Utility Bill Payment1
Some plans allow members who are eligible for Expanded OTC to use their OTC allowance to pay for internet, wireless, and utility bills. Simply call your utility provider using the phone number on your billing statement and give them your OTC+Flex card number, or go to your utility provider’s online bill pay portal, and when asked for payment, enter your OTC+Flex card number. You may also use the OTC+Flex Member portal.
Home-Delivered Meals1
You can now leave the cooking to us. Visit your OTC+ Flex Member Portal to find participating retailers in our program. Meals can be customized for each member based on their medical condition, such as diabetes, kidney problems, cancer, and heart disease.
Healthy Foods and Fresh Produce1
You can shop for healthy foods and fresh produce in person or online. To find eligible items and participating retailers, visit your OTC+Flex Member Portal.
While most plans provide Traditional and Expanded OTC benefits, the amount varies by plan. Check the OTC Benefits by Plan page for more details.
